Real Estate Partners Sponsors Yellow Ribbon America's Toy Drive for Families of Overseas Military
Real Estate Partners, Inc., a national real estate investment company based in Irvine, Calif., is the national sponsor for Yellow Ribbon America’s Operation Christmas For Our Troops III, the largest toy drive in the country that directly benefits military families. This is a terrific way to show support for our brave men and women overseas. A press conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. this Thursday, December 14, at the Newport Beach City Hall building, located at 3300 Newport Boulevard. Toy and gift card donations will be accepted on site and elsewhere through December 20. December 13, 2006 (FPRC IRVINE, CA) — Real Estate Partners, Inc., a national real estate investment company based in Irvine, Calif., announced today it will participate as the national sponsor for Yellow Ribbon America’s Operation Christmas For Our Troops III. A press conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. this Thursday, December 14, at the Newport Beach City Hall building, located at 3300 Newport Boulevard. The event will be attended by U.S. Army Reserve, Calif. Air National Guard and Calif. Army National Guard personnel, and will feature a display of military vehicles. Toy and gift card donations will be accepted on site through December 20.
“Yellow Ribbon America’s Operation Christmas For Our Troops is the largest toy drive in the country that directly benefits military families. It is a terrific way to show support for our brave men and women overseas, and it allows us to demonstrate our appreciation for their families at home over the holidays,” stated Tom Thompson, president of Real Estate Partners. “Real Estate Partners is proud to join the City of Newport Beach as a sponsor of this event. Our goal is to spread the word about Operation Christmas For Our Troops and help drive donations at the hundreds of drop off points across California through December 20.”
Operation Christmas For Our Troops is a bi-partisan, statewide effort supported by the California State Capitol for deployed National Guard and Reserve military members, as well as private organizations such as Real Estate Partners. This year’s event marks the third annual Operation Christmas held by Yellow Ribbon America. Last year Yellow Ribbon America collected over 47,000 toys and DVDs, as well as gift cards and donations for California’s military families. “While the holidays can be a very difficult time for military personnel, it can be even more difficult for their loved ones at home. Operation Christmas For Our Troops was created as a way for everyday people, businesses and government to directly show appreciation and support for the families effected by active military service,” said Brad White, national chairman of Yellow Ribbon America and legislative board member of the National Guard Association. “With the help of our generous sponsors, such as Real Estate Partners, we can provide children of our troops with a very merry Christmas.”
