Registration Open for Annual “Made in New Jersey Event” in Celebration of National Manufacturing Day
October 3rd marks the 3rd annual National Manufacturing Day. In honor of this event, the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) will be hosting an all-day celebration at The Palace in Somerset. There will be manufacturing panels, discussions, and meet-and-greets.
September 3, 2014 (FPRC) -- The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc. (NJMEP) announces that registration is open for its yearly Made in New Jersey event in celebration of the third annual National Manufacturing Day. The event will occur on Friday, October 3rd at The Palace at Somerset Park at 33 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873.
The occasion will celebrate the importance of New Jersey’s manufacturing sector. The first part of the event (7:30am to 12:15pm) will have a “Building a 21st Century Manufacturing Economy” theme. This portion of the celebration will include networking opportunities, keynote speakers and panel discussions on topics such as workforce development, recruiting and retention, innovation, growth, supply chain development and logistics. The second part of the event (12:30pm to 2:30pm) will feature the Inaugural NJBIZ / NJMEP Manufacturing Awards to honor New Jersey manufacturers in a variety of categories. To celebrate the event, NJMEP is also offering a special discount for manufacturers who participate in their Made in New Jersey program. The program was developed to promote New Jersey’s manufacturers and showcase the products made in the Garden State.

NJMEP is additionally helping New Jersey manufacturers host events Monday, September 29th through Thursday, October 3rd, during the week leading up to National Manufacturing Day.
