The new PicoScope Automotive oscilloscopes have improved performance and come with a stronger PicoScope 6 software and an enhanced Waveform library.
December 15, 2014 (FPRC) --
The Pico Technology PicoScope range of Automotive Oscilloscopes and Kits can be used to diagnose faults on anything with an engine. It does not matter if a user is working with two wheels, four wheels (or many more). The kits are also widely used on boats, aircraft and on stationary applications such as large generators.
The PicoScope 4225 two–channel kit by Pico Technology are ideal for occasional use or for those on a limited budget. PicoScope 4425 four–channel kits allow a user to diagnose more complex problems and save time by testing more signals at the same time. The PicoScope 2 and 4 Channel Starter Kits give the lowest possible entry cost into PicoScope ownership. The kits come complete with a basic set of leads and clips to allowing a user to perform many common tasks including testing most sensors, relative compression and cylinder balance tests. Over time accessories such as current clamps and ignition probes can be added to expand its uses and convert a starter kit into a standard kit. Compared to the starter kits, the PicoScope 2 and 4 Channel Standard Kits includes current clamps, attenuators, ignition pickups and additional probes and clips to allow virtually all the components on modern vehicles to be tested.
The 4–Channel PicoScope Advanced Kit is the ultimate in vehicle diagnostics. This kit builds on the 4–Channel Standard Kit by also including Pico Technology’s most popular optional accessories such as universal break–out leads, fuse extension leads and COP ignition pickup. When not in use, the scope and all accessories can be stored in the durable case.
PicoScope Automotive Software is a powerful software package that turns a PC into a Diagnostic Oscilloscope when used with a PicoScope Automotive Oscilloscope. PicoScope has been designed to make it easy for a technician to diagnose vehicle faults. Packed with features such as automated measurements and the ability to save and print waveforms, PicoScope Automotive Software is the ultimate tool for your diagnostic arsenal.
With the free PicoDiagnostics software, a user can also test batteries, alternators, starter motors, and wiring. Also, a very quick Engine Health Check can be performed to confirm correct running of the engine, or point to problems requiring investigation. Professional reports provide a way to show customers what has been checked, and any problems found.
