January 15, 2015 (FPRC) --

As of 5th January 2015, normal service has resumed for London Drainage Facilities (LDF). Though support staff and technicians were still working around the clock throughout the holidays, many of the team took some time out to enjoy festivities and have returned fresh and raring to get stuck into everything the New Year has to offer.

All engineer teams are now back on the road on carrying out services including CCTV surveys, drain maintenance projects and responding to emergency callouts.

2015 is set to be a big year for LDF, with big contracts and potential customers in the pipeline. The company also wishes to focus on strengthening their relationships with all existing customers and suppliers.

LDF’s Growth and Strategy Manager, Fraser Ruthven, says:

“We are all extremely excited for 2015 as we have plenty of things to look forward to and work towards. Our central team have been busy from the moment we arrived back on premises and it seems as each month, yet alone year goes by, we are getting busier and busier!”

Christmas celebrations have ensured that drains across London have had to work extra hard for the city’s residents. Drainage systems had to cope with higher volumes of oils and fats being disposed of incorrectly after all those family dinners and London’s drainage system has been put under an immense amount of strain. As well as dealing with blockages and other drainage problems promptly, its LDF’s aim to educate people in the capital and the rest of the UK of how to dispose of oils and fats, as well as non-flushable items, in a responsible and environmentally-friendly way.

LDF’s team is eager to remind people that we’ve got plenty more weeks of wet, cold and dreary winter weather. Last year, the UK saw some of the heaviest rainfall since records began, wreaking havoc on drains and sewers throughout the nation. LDF would like to remind customers and anyone who lives in a flood prone area that it is important to take precautionary measures to protect your property. Residents can take action in the first instance by ensuring all excess leaves, silt and debris been cleared from their gullies and guttering.
