January 5, 2017 (FPRC) -- Tent World, Thermalabs sub-brand in charge of all beach and sports tent products, has launched a full inventory of outdoor tents. Ann Spencer, Tent World’s brand manager, today announced that the company had introduced at least 5 different types of tents to the market. Each of these is named after a planet in the solar system. As of now, the company's users can get the Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, and ‘The Sun’ tents online.

Thermalabs is a leading manufacturer of self-tanners, and beach-convenience products. The company announced its Tent World sub-brand in 2016, in line with its long-term diversification strategy. Tent World distributes and markets all tent products from Thermalabs. It is based at the Thermalabs headquarters in New York. In addition to Tent World, Thermalabs also launched two other sub-brands, namely Supremasea and Organic Healthcare.

Mercury, Thermalabs first-ever beach tent, was introduced in 2015. It was a fairly large tent equipped with an extra coating that shielded occupants from the sun’s harmful radiation. Furthermore, the tent had extra comfy bottoms that were conducive for kids, and side bags that could be fitted with sand to make it more stable in the beach environment. The tent was multipurpose in that it could also be used in any other outdoor location. Following a rather strategic pre-launch marketing by the firm, Mercury Beach tent was a major hit. The success of this initial beach tent is probably what motivated the company to manufacture more tent-based products.

Each of the new tents will be named after a planet in the solar system. They will also be named according to their sizes, with the largest tent going by the name ‘The Sun’, and the smallest ‘Pluto’. The largest tent (The Sun) will be a supersized shelter designed for a sizeable family or group of friends. On the other hand, Pluto tents will be the smallest size and designed for children. They are available in different colors and will ship with a coloring book to keep kids busy. All of Thermalabs tents can be used in any outdoor location. In addition to the beach, they can also come in handy in a public park, picnic site, private family garden, camping site, and any other outdoor environment. They shelter people from the sun, gusts of wind, and unpredictable rain shower.

“The entire Tent World team is delighted to announce that our full range of beach tents themed after the solar system are now available in the market. It’s been a busy 6 months for us as we tried to make this range of tents a reality. Each of our tents will be named after a planet in the solar system, based on its properties, and relative size. Our tents are all multipurpose in that they can come in handy in any outdoor environment…,” said Ms. Spencer.
