Barry's Ticket Service recently announced the details of their 2017 All-Rounder Scholarship. With 31 years in the ticketing and events industry under their belts, the Barry's team is excited about reaching out to the world around them by providing a current high school or college student with financial assistance to meet their educational expenses.
"As Southern California's leading entertainment ticket provider, we understand the importance of providing ticket options that suit a variety of budgets. Unfortunately, high school and college students looking to pursue a quality education don't often have that option, and therefore it's so important that we do what we can to help them meet the high financial demands that so often come along with higher education," said Christopher Cabrera of Barry's Ticket Service.
The Barry's Tickets All-Rounder Scholarship is awarded once per year to provide financial assistance to a quality all-rounded student. While U.S. citizens and legal residents from all over the nation are eligible to apply, they must have been enrolled full time at an accredited high school, college, or university for at least one year with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Barry's team will be awarding $1,500 to a student who demonstrates academic excellence and a commitment to serving his or her community or the world at large. Students can visit the Barry's Tickets website for more information on essay and enrollment verification requirements.
UCLA biochemistry student Faith Bosede was chosen as the winner of the 2016 Barry's Tickets All-Rounder Scholarship. When contacted about her selection for the scholarship, the Barry's team was impressed by her determination to make great social impact in the field of medicine and help her community by talking with school board members about increasing access to science education programs. This is the type of commitment to academics and community service that Barry's Tickets is seeking in their 2017 scholarship winner.
Cabrera further commented, "Although this year's entries are due on December 31st, we encourage students to get their application packets in as early as possible. We could not be more excited about having another opportunity to help a student succeed at bettering themselves and the world around them."
