Leading F1 Fabrication Company To Offer Motorcycle After-Market Systems To Consumers
Leading F1 fabrication company Good Fabrications has announced the launch of a range of super lightweight after-market exhaust systems and silencers for consumers.
March 16, 2017 (FPRC) -- GoodFabs, one of the UK’s longest serving Formula 1 suppliers, has today announced plans to launch a range of super-lightweight motorcycle exhaust systems to reduce its reliance on the F1 market.
Known and respected in Formula 1 and NASCAR as a high-quality fabricator of development and race exhaust systems GoodFabs are using the materials, equipment, tooling and their race experience to introduce specialist design, fabrication and machining skills to the road biking fraternity.
The move is part of a wider strategic plan by the management team to combat the relative insecurity of working within F1, which is currently undergoing its most seismic shift in terms of ownership and direction, for many years. GoodFabs have supplied race teams with exhaust systems - the last hand-made component of an F1 car - for the past 30 years, using skills that only a few companies in the world possess. Always keen to move with the times, they have in recent years embraced and incorporated the use of 3D printed metal components into their work.
GoodFabs has initially developed two premium after-market systems under the GF Moto brand name: the GF Moto Inconel Header Set for the BMW S1000RR and the GF Moto Titanium Header Set for the Honda Africa Twin. Both these lightweight systems will be fabricated using the same lightweight alloys and processes the company has so successfully applied to their F1 fabrication. Closely following the contours of the bike and made in limited numbers, the systems will provide additional power and exclusivity to these highly desirable machines.
MD of GoodFabs, Neil Morgan, said; “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to demonstrate our craftsmanship and experience to an audience outside the world of F1. Offering systems of this quality will enable bikers to enhance their machines in a way that makes them stand apart from the rest.
“It will also afford us the opportunity to strengthen our business and provide greater control of our destiny while increasing the value of the business and providing longer term stability for our employees. With F1 offering no solid guarantees as to future contracts from season to season, this is an important step for us.”
