According to a recent survey, more than 70% of Americans want a breakfast menu available all through the day. The survey also showed that young people especially enjoy eating breakfast for dinner. To satisfy their customers of all ages, Farm Inn' on Main in Shawano, Wisconsin serves breakfast all day long. The farm-style home cooking restaurant offers such delights as country-fried steak and eggs, French toast, "tractor tire" cakes, and kielbasa and eggs, to name just a few.
Said company spokesperson Mark Barber, "A lot of our customers say their favorite meal is 'breakfast for dinner,' and we are happy to be able to satisfy their cravings with delicious home-cooked breakfast food at all hours of the day. We give our customers plenty of food, too - we pride ourselves on serving generous portions of the food people love the most."
Considered by many to be the Best Restaurant in Shawano, Farm Inn' on Main specializes in old-fashioned home cooking with fresh ingredients. In addition to their breakfast menu full of eggs, meat, pancakes, and French toast, they offer a full lunch and dinner menu. According to Barber, some of the most popular dishes include the grilled pork chops, the farm-style tenderloin, the broasted chicken, and the fried catfish. Said Barber, "We have a lot of regular customers who come for our fish fry every Friday."
The restaurant is also known for their Bakery. Their fresh baked goods include a variety of breads, buns, cookies, and pastries. Their menu lists 16 different kinds of homemade pie, a major draw for many, according to Barber. "Kelly comes up with some original creations along with all the favorites, like apple and peach. In March, for example, we had a special on our Shamrock Delight chocolate and pistachio cream pie."
Open seven days a week, the restaurant is also renowned for its Buckets of chicken to go. Buckets range in size from six pieces of chicken with no sides to 25 pieces of chicken with two sides. Kelly's broasted chicken is made from fresh, never frozen, chicken and cooked in the broaster. Popular sides include coleslaw, potato salad, and beans.
Customer reviews online comment frequently on the charming decor and friendly service. Concluded Barber, "We want our customers to feel at home when they visit us, so we make sure our staff go out of their way to attend to our customers and make sure they have what they need.
