Charter Spectrum Acquired Time Warner Cable in a Latest Deal

Charter Spectrum and Time Warner Cable Inc. announced their merger in May 2018 for all their services including – Cable TV networks, broadband & phone networks.

STAMFORD, Conn., New York, August 01, 2018 - Charter has announced the acquisition of Time Warner Cable lately. The effort of combining two major companies aims at becoming the second largest cable operator in the United States, just same as the Comcast. This merger deal also includes the acquisition of the small cable provider brand - the Bright House Networks by Charter Spectrum. Now, with these three companies combined together, Charter now has over 25 million customers in 41 states in the United States of America.
According to a news, “The Charter has paid around $55 billion for the Time Warner deal and $10.4 billion for the Bright House Networks”.

In another news report, one of the Charter's spokespersons claimed that “This acquisition will make them to improve their broadband service throughout the nation, which will further lead to faster & better Internet speed and more video products”.

Charter Spectrum has expressed its intention to acquire Time Warner Cable TV, and broadband services a years ago. In the time between, regulators of the broadband & entertainment services (FCC and Justice Department) investigated the purpose of the deal from the consumers and market perspective. Ultimately, they got nothing wrong for the most part.

The FCC investigated every part of the deal on all merits and determines whether it would be in the users’ interest or not. Charter Spectrum Internet and Cable TV services are now merged with Time Warner and are aimed at changing the scenario of American TV watching & internet services. With the announcement of the merger, famous brands like Netflix & Amazon creating a difficult competition, and also start luring their users with cost-effective TV networks and broadband deals.
According to Charter Spectrum officials, this acquisition is surely going to be a good deal for all the customers and potential customers, as they are investing in advanced technology to develop innovative digital products & services that will compete with all the big & small national & international brands.
