New Health and Safety Manager appointed to London Drainage Facilities

The city-based drainage company has recently welcomed a new Health and Safety representative to its growing team.

October 13, 2014 (FPRC) -- London, England, October 2014

The staff at London Drainage Facilities (LDF) would like to extend a warm welcome to Duncan Bewley, who joined the company as a Health and Safety Manager in September.

Duncan boasts more than a decade of experience in the health and safety sector. Having worked as a fire, health and safety specialist on film and TV sets, has been responsible for numerous auditing and risk assessments throughout his career. He has also remained committed to promoting health and safety initiatives in the public and private sectors and has previously delivered comprehensive health and safety training programmes to educate workers on the importance of adhering to health and safety legislation.

At LDF, his role is to outline and implement safe operational procedures, taking into account all relevant hazards and carrying out thorough site inspections on a regular basis to ensure his policies and procedures are being followed by staff both onsite and out on appointment. Duncan will naturally also be responsible for ensuring that staff are on track to ensure that LDF retains its Safe Contractor Approved, British Safety Council and CHAS Certified accreditations.

LDF’s Managing Director Danny Fuller is already regarding Duncan as a fantastic addition to the team and believes that his hard work will revive and reinforce the company’s ever-practical approach towards health and safety matters in the months and years to come. “We are particularly looking forward to Duncan’s contribution to the excavation side of our business, as this is an area we’re looking to expand in line with the correct health and safety requirements,” he adds.
