The National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives (NANOE) will release its highly anticipated second edition of "New Guidelines for Tomorrow's Nonprofits" Monday, July 10, 2017. Written by academics, charity experts and world-renowned philanthropists, the guide aims to provide a solid guide for charities and nonprofit organizations looking to implement the most effective fundraising and general management strategies.

The NANOE set of policies and procedures is the culmination of a multi-year effort overseen by both the National Development Institute and a collection of professors and doctoral students from Clemson University.
The work performed by this group of academicians, philanthropists and nonprofit executives aims to shed a new light on the established standard imposed by intermediary nonprofits (usually state and national nonprofit member associations).
NANOE's New Guidelines for Tomorrow's Nonprofits unveils modernized systems rooted in principles of moral agency, stewardship, freedom of speech, freedom of peaceful assembly, ethical practice and transparency.
New Guidelines for Tomorrow's Nonprofits (Second Edition) is 150 pages in length and is based on doctoral research (including a university-led clinical survey of 480 nonprofit executive directors), group interactions with senior leaders at over 300 seminars and over 1000 one-on-one interviews with board members, volunteers and nonprofit CEOs.
Regarding the importance of this upcoming release, NANOE Co-Founder, Kathleen Robinson said: "Charity has been paralyzed by a set of failed "best practices" that turned the non-profit sector into a non-growth sector decades ago. The current 'standards of excellence' are outdated, based on methods that have been less than successful, and often lead to charity money ending up in dubious pockets. Through our efforts, we try to put an end to such deceptive practices."

NANOE Governors will reconvene to further monitor their progress on October 30-31, 2018 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia, SC for their 2nd Annual Convention & Expo.
